Archimandrite Nektary, Abbot of Holy Trinity Monastery in Mexico City, Mexico, and his brotherhood, and parishioners celebrated the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord on August 6/19 and also continued the celebration during the Afterfeast.

There were many communicants of the Sacred Mysteries of Christ. At the end of Liturgy the “Rite of the Blessing of the First Fruits was performed.

From the Ambo Archimandrite Nektary read a Benedictory Tribute from His Eminence KYRILL Archbishop of San Francisco and Western America, who recognized the zealous and conscientious labors of Ludmila Afanasieva who was Head Sister of the parish sisterhood from 2019 to 2023.

The monastic brotherhood and parishioners joined in a festive meal and fellowship which continued well towards the evening.
